The First Minister has announced that masks will no longer be required in Scottish places of worship from Monday, April 4th.
Mandatory face-covering rules will remain in force in shops and on public transport until 18 April, however.
Ms Sturgeon told the Scottish Parliament this approach struck a “sensible balance between our desire to remove this one remaining legal measure and the common-sense need for continued caution”.
The Scottish Government has kept compulsory mask-wearing in place longer than the rest of the UK which removed such mandates earlier this year.
